The wedding of Samara and Juan

Welcome to our wedding information page! We’re so excited to celebrate with you on our big day, and we want to make sure your trip to Spain is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Where You’ll Stay

We’ve booked El Convent 1613 in La Fresneda (Teruel) for Friday, May 16th, and Saturday, May 17th, 2025. This charming hotel will also be the venue for our wedding celebration after the ceremony on Saturday. The rooms are €200 for the two nights, with breakfast included on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. 

Check-in is available from 12pm on Friday, and checkout is at 12pm on Sunday, May 18th. If you arrive before 12pm on Saturday or need to stay later on Sunday, you are welcome to use the hotel facilities during that time.

For those only staying one night, please note that the cost remains the same (€200) as the room will be reserved for you for the entire weekend. There’s also an outdoor pool at the hotel, so don’t forget your swimwear!

We would appreciate it if you could let us know as soon as possible, ideally when you RSVP, whether you’d like to stay at the hotel.

If you’d like to stay at the hotel before May 16th or after May 17th, you can contact the hotel directly to book additional nights. Be sure to mention that you are attending the wedding, as a discounted rate may apply (hotelelconvent.com).

If you prefer to arrange your own accommodation, there are options in La Fresneda through Airbnb or Booking.com, as well as nearby towns like Alcañiz (25 minutes away) and Valderrobres (15 minutes away). If you book elsewhere, let us know so we can keep track of everyone’s arrangements.

The Wedding Day

Our ceremony will be held at La Iglesia del Pilar at 12:30pm on Saturday, May 17th. We kindly ask that everyone arrive at the church by 12:15pm to ensure everything runs smoothly. Afterward, we’ll walk just a few minutes back to the hotel for the celebration.

We’ve hired a photographer and videographer to capture the ceremony, so we kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos or videos during this time to fully enjoy the moment.

We want everyone to have a great time, so we’ve arranged childcare during the main meal to ensure that both adults and children can relax and enjoy themselves. Please let us know when you RSVP if you’ll be bringing your children.

As the hotel has an outdoor pool and other areas that require supervision, we kindly ask that children are not left unattended.

The party at the hotel will wind down at 11 pm, but for those who want to keep celebrating, we’ve reserved another venue within walking distance. It will be an informal, self-service setup with drinks and snacks but no staff, so feel free to make yourselves comfortable and enjoy!

Travel Plans

We’re happy to help with travel advice. The most convenient airport to fly into is Barcelona Reus. If most of the guests travelling from abroad decide to fly in on Friday, May 16th, we’ll arrange transportation from the airport to La Fresneda. To coordinate travel plans, we’ll also create a WhatsApp group where we can discuss the details. If you arrive earlier or choose a different airport, let us know, and we’ll assist you with planning your route.
